Streaming went from "netflix is cheap" to "now there's 100 different services" to "now the services are consolidating, and content is disappearing as the prices increase"

So, yeah. If streaming doesn't get its shit together, it'll be overtaken by something else.

That's just false, DVDs are still used and sold. Not everyone has a Blu Ray player or wants Blu Rays.

Yeah, a lot of our shops here (Australia) have a larger DVD collection than they do BRD. BRD just doesn't seem to have been as widely adopted. It also had the poor timing of coming right on the cusp of services like Netflix.
