what do I mean:

Have you seen something that got lost to the sands of time, to the point that you start questioning if it ever existed, because apparently no one else has never seen it?

This is most often the result of record companies or movie studios or the like pulling something off the shelves for reasons. It's a "I want to hide this, let's conspire!" kind of thing, more of a simple business idea.

Imagine you had heard the song "Telephone by Britney Spears" and everybody told you that it's actually a Lady Gaga song, to the point you gaslight yourself and think maybe you imagined it, or maybe it's a mandella effect. But no, it's real:

The song was made for Britney, but then Gaga took it. Britney's version was then disappeared.

What about backstreet boy's song "No Goodbyes"? That song doesn't exist, does it? Why is there a song called "I want it that way", super famous, but you could have sword the song had different lyrics? Because it did!!! The original version sounded the same, but the lyrics were awkward (they were made by a non-English speaker), so they were reworked into the song we all know:

See, the only reason you know this stuff is because I am telling you about it. If I didn't, you'd think I'm crazy, or that it's a mandela effect.

Now that I've explained what I mean, here are the 2 things I want to hunt down:

1) Alternate "baby, baby" song

Do you remember that annoying little shit Justin Bieber's first song ever? "Baby"? "Baby, baby, baby OOOHHHH". I am 100% sure that some black R&B guy, most possibly Usher sang this song before. It wasn't exactly the same, but the "baby, baby, baby, oooohhh" hook was there, sang by him (not the kids in Bieb's song) and in a slow, suave jazz style.

I have heard this song twice, but I can't find it now. It makes sense it got pulled off the shelves, since Usher mentored the Biebs and probably gave him his own song.

2) Lost disney PG-13 CGI Film

I saw a TV special about CGI. It explained the story of CGI in films, building towards Frozen. It said disney's first CGI film wasn't toy story, there was some sort of underwater movie with fish, sort of like osmosis jones, the same kind of humor, with CGI. The show said this movie got pulled out of the shelves due to its commercial flop and adult humor that disney never approved of.... I can't find the movie or the tv special now

Like the baffling "Sinbad genie" thing or people who get the Monopoly Man and the Planters Peanut guy mixed up. Monopoly Man doesn't have a monocle, you're just bad at remembering.

For years I coulda sworn there was an episode of The Simpsons where Moe had a cat, and he said its name was Chairman Meow.

I come from a reality where I've told my parents something half a dozen times, but I live in one where they've still never been told.

I have seen the show like 5 times in full since childhood and havent heard this line any of those times

Speaking of 90s properties, I swear I remember there being a scene in Aladdin where the chief guard tells the chubby guard to remain alert and to stop eating on the job. As soon as the chief guard is out of frame, the chubby guard starts chowing down on concealed food that he had stuffed away in his pockets.

The chubby guard stuffing his face is in the Genesis game, but that scene doesn't appear in any home media of Aladdin that I've seen. And that goes back to the first release on VHS.

I had this children's book about a rodent that went on an adventure and ended up fighting in a war. It was beautifully illustrated, with those pictures where they tell you what each thing is.

I haven't been able to remember the name or find any proof of its existence.

What I was talking about is that during the commercial they are pumping up a basketball as they were shilling whatever the commercial was about. They were inside a garage, I think. Anyways, at the end of it they go to shoot a basket and it ball blows up because there was too much air in it. To give you an example - The kid is talking about a product that can increase your stamina and it shows him putting a lot of work into pumping up the basketball, and then it pops when he first shoots it.

I hate that I have trouble with these. I want to have hazy memories. I grew up with Berenstain Bears books and it was always spelt that way. I remember Kazaam and how bad it was. I recall how big of a deal it was when Mandela got out of prison. I was 10 and remember it clearly.

There's gotta be one that I'm susceptible to god damn it.
