Would you PERMANENTLY swap sex for $10 million?


However, in order to receive and keep the $10 million, you must agree to be magically transformed into whichever sex you identify with least. For example, if you identify as male, your body will be transformed into that of a woman, and vice versa. The catch is simple: you must live the rest of your life that way: you may not transition, and everyone will see you as and treat you as though you had always been that sex. If you're non-binary, then you'll have to fill in the gaps. If you're agender, well, I guess you have gender now!

I have a friend who would read this and conclude that they would essentially be in the exact boat they are now, except up $10 million.

IMO, certain non-binary and genderfluid people can totally take advantage of this without much negative effect. Agender people probably make out scot-free.

I think if society always treated and perceived me as the opposite gender of what I am now since my birth then I would've been ok with seeing myself as that gender as well. I feel like character traits like being courageous or honest are more internally formed and deeper part of one's identity than gender is which seems to be more externally derived except in minority of cases

There's an unfortunate case of a boy being born with a micropenis. Thinking this would ruin his life, they did surgery and raised him as a girl.

Tldr it royally fucked him up and he committed suicide.

That being said, lots of societies have culturally specific genders.

I'm agender but mainly in the "don't give a shit" camp (I only view this body as a shell and its physical attributes really couldn't matter less to me), and for $10m I don't think the spouse would mind whatever I changed into.

The spouse on the other hand is trans, and says they wouldn't take up this deal themselves.
