Never had a Twitter account, and I don't plan to any time soon.

It's good for following anime and video game news and cute Japanese ladies

I had a Twitter account since 2009 and got banned for replying to a batshit-insane racist QAnon Tweet by saying "please take your meds".

I'm not sure, I have an account on at least one of those type of sites, for following artists but I never really used it.

Yes. I use it sometimes, since it's a good place to keep up with news and insights from people who make the stuff I enjoy watching/playing/reading.

Nope, have never liked the concept of twitter and despite not having an account it still feels like I use it everyday.

Never had one. Been laughing at all the constant outrage over the absolute mad lad known as Elon Musk taking over the platform though, so either way I have been thoroughly entertained by this whole experience.

Yeah, I made one in college and for the past decade or so I've found it to be the best way to stay informed about current events, interact with others during sporting events, and find some things that make me laugh.

No, because unlike a lot of people on Twitter, I don't go around cyber bullying.

Yes. I actually really like twitter tbh. I usually just follow artists and people who post weird shit. It has a chaotic energy to it that I really like.

Yeah, I enjoy it. I just follow other people with a few thousand followers who just talk about the same interests as me all the time.

And the whole "It's filled with nothing but fake outrage" is overblown, usually by people who have probably never even been active on the site. It does happen, but it has such a large userbase that it's relatively easy to avoid that.

I do. I've found Twitter to be a great place when you're only talking movies and toys.

i use it to follow developments in macroeconomics, technology, and the occasional musings by humanities scholars

companies also backchannel through it as well since nobody answers cold emails or linkedin messages; i've had two, three, maybe more interviews facilitated by it and helped connect companies with it

i only use it to follow artists. sometimes the feed shows me a bunch of bullshit and i just go "don't see posts about this topic" and it usually stays that way for a good while

Why do people on here not like twitter they're so similar but you follow people instead of having one general board for topics about system or game. Current events is basically twitter almost anyway

I had two for a good bit. Got rid of them a few weeks ago. One was for news mostly other was more for hobby shit.

Nah. Social media in general has never been my thing. I was in college when it first really became a sort of massive thing and it just never grabbed me.

I suppose its been easier for me to ignore since it wasnt a part of my childhood the way it is for kids now.

No. I had one to shitpost for a while but got bored of it. It's not very practical for serious use.

I made one when my brother asked me for help with finding a playstation 5 since making a twitter account and following either matt swider or jake randall (wario64 was also a good option for this, but wario64 regularly tweeted about all kinds of restocks when it came to the video gaming, card playing, board game playing, comic books etc. hobbys thus it was easy to miss out on the only restock that you probably cared about, compared to matt and jake who really only tweeted about those PS5 restocks) for notifications was by far the easiest way to get one at the time outside of bots.

I made that twitter account like the first week of may 2021 and had that PS5 bundle for my brother like a week and a half later.

I still have the account if I ever wanted to upload a screenshot or a small videoclip from my switch since you can upload directly to twitter. Never actually used it for that yet since I am rarely on my switch and when I wanted to put this mario kart 8 deluxe clip on my PC I just sent it directly to my phone first.
