Ive just realised iBooks has a function that counts how many books youve read.

Apparently Im up to 64, with god knows how many hard copy books Ive read.

This year alone? About 13. 64 is a ridiculous number for an annual session. Do you do nothing but read?

What's the #1 book you would recommend out of those 64?

Hmm, I'm not sure.
Not that many: I read big meaty boys, so not too many.
Ones that stick out clearly in my mind

Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami
Seven Necessary Sins for Women and Girls by Mona Eltahawy
Babylon: Mesopotamia and the Birth of Civilization by Paul Kriwaczek
Transgender History: The Roots of Today's Revolution by Susan Stryker

I'm reading Whipping Girl: A Transsexual Woman on Sexism and the Scapegoating of Femininity by Julia Serrano right now, and will probably finish before the year is out. It belongs with the above.

Murakami is amazing. Have you read Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World? Its an absolute favourite and one of my top 5 ever.

0.

Reading hours upon hours throughout high school and college for homework killed any interest I had in books post graduation.

That was my first Murakami, and once I work through some of my backlog, I would definitely like to read some more.

It's a fantastic book, pretty accessible too I thought.

If we're counting manga, we're well over twenty as I read the entirety of the deluxe volumes of Berserk and the first eleven volumes of Chainsaw Man, and some others.

If manga is off-limits, couple of Star Wars books

20, which is the lowest since I started tracking in Goodreads 10 years ago. But one of those books was 1,700 pages and there were some other long ones too.

Im not counting Animorphs or Goosebumps in my total.

Probably ten or so. Currently reading Armor by John Steakley. Plan on reading more next year just had a lot going on and just didn't have the time. Doesn't help I really got into solo board games and devoted a fair amount of time to that, too. Getting into print and plays, too, so my plans of reading may not happen lol.

I want to pick it up but waiting on the funds lol. Been enjoying Maquis, Under Falling Skies, Stellarion (and the other Oniverse games) and One Deck Dungeon.

Printed out Utopia Engine tonight and hope to play tomorrow. Ordered a few things off Amazon to print out and assemble Agent Decker and Orchard. Can't wait to make them.
