Could you please stop being so negative? Suprak put a lot of work into this and doesn't deserve to have you complain about his set-up.

Other people put a lot of work into the game - Town didn't have a good game, Scum had a good game.

Oh yeah i think that there were multiple times where town got hung up on "optimal scum play would be this so xyz". We can see that there were suboptimal plays all around!

Honestly you guys are allowed to complain about the set up if you don't like it! That part I don't mind at all. I can try to tell you why I think you're wrong, but I never ever claim to have a perfect set up. I do things I think would be fun and that make sense to me, balancewise. It probably isn't perfect, but I try to warn people that before the game. And I liked the set up, so nyah.

In a way it helped that Corrik distracted town from doing a massclaim too early

I had no idea why Scare did anything that he did, haha. He claimed something kind of off the safe list, but in a way that was phrased that went against the flavor of the game. Like, it didn't fit with the flavor set up I said it would be. Also, I love day vig roles so just openly claiming one seemed bonkers crazy.

But...it kind of worked? Like he said it caused MI/Lea to doubt Han, caused half the TOWN to doubt Ben, and he got Isquen lynched. I know he got lynched day 2, but he kinda did a good job with it, honestly.

I thought it was a crazy play, but what do I know, I guess haha.

I saw Betty White and I said "Yeah Betty White is a good flavor" But then quickly realized "...Why does Betty White have a gun?" and changed it last second without much more thought than her death being the last day of the year lol

The setup seemed fine to me! Suprak games always lean on interesting roles that keeps it out of the basic/standard roles set up. How they end up connecting with the rest of the game is always pretty interesting to see develop as game goes and post game explanation.

I just sorta existed enough this game.

When I started to turn around on Ben tbh I was definitely thinking oh I think im wrong was gonna sleep on it and well.. scum knew we were sleeping lol

Yeah I said in DVC that if Ben had that level of play a day earlier town probably wins. He went super saiyan there at the end but alas it was too late.

Yeah I knew that was a possibility. Its why I wanted him lynched before Mzero

What burned me is my own position in the game. If i was confirmed town I would have argued to not lynch Mzero. Even after he claimed, I didn't want to lynch him before Death and Ctes and was building up the case for why he was town through interactions with Corrik. But then when I realized it was going to be either me or him, because of the gladiate, I had to turn on him and hesitated to ever say "Well he COULD be town" again, because I thought town would then not trust me that I'm actually what I'm claiming I am

Honestly I think in that position I would just be honest and hope my death leaves those thoughts with everyone.
But thats a tough one.

I would have but at the same time I also wanted mzero dead over me, even if he's town, and one of us was going to be gladiated. If I died town would have just killed him next

Suprak: I find the fact that you spread lies about me and pitched a massive hissy fit to be completely unprofessional and unacceptable. All I did was distance myself from a situation that was angering me to avoid any drama. Drama that you then caused anyway by posting a wall of lies to turn people against me. I apologize for the necessity to delete those posts - but for my own mental state, I needed that out of my post history. That part is on me, and I'm sorry if any players were inconvenienced by me doing that.

I did not have fun this game. Having so many rules to remember/dance around makes for a less engaging experience. Keeping it simple and giving people a little leeway makes players enjoy themselves more. There was also the thing about MI and Corrik having conflicting PMs about both getting their roles first. Based on that plus Corrik's argument that MI was essentially a more powerful combination of my role and that of his fake town variant, I made the move that I did. You really should do better to stamp out those contradictions if you don't want people to "meta" this stuff.

Like I have said, I don't intend on playing again, at least not for a good while. Mafia is simply not for me because it's too stressful and emotionally draining, particularly when I'm in a rut. This rut was worsened by the fact that the fucking host chose to bully me when I was in such a state and needed to get away.

Seeing it in my AMP started making my blood boil, so I had to rectify it. Seeing Suprak's completely unnecessary rant telling everyone that they're not allowed to be friends with me was pretty hurtful.

Like, you got a warning for breaking the rules that you should have died to but there was a slap on the wrist instead. And then you doubled down by ignoring a rule that is not special to this game by posting after deadline (You're responsible for knowing when day ends). And then after being modkilled... you committed more modkillable actions that if you weren't already MK you would be. Deleting posts is like rule 1 of rules for every game- You can't delete a post!

Suprak bullys no one and he took actions to protect the game itself from collapsing because you were in a spicy mood. If you cannot understand basic rules present in every game then this game is not for you.

Also saying you needed to not look at them for your mental state is pretty silly when you're actively posting on an alt as we speak.

Own your mistakes. You didn't read the rules. You broke a major one and we let it slide. You broke a second rule (even by a slight margin) and you weren't given the benefit of the doubt because of previous warning.

You broke 2 rules. That's not the hosts fault.

You then chose to delete messages that were part of an active game pretty much telling everyone else in the game to go fuxk themselves because you didn't have the self control to not look at something?

Yeah tbh I think I'd appreciate any host asking me "Are you sure you want to play? You know what tends to happen." and dissuade me. No offense taken to this - it's just not good for my mental health and I get too wrapped up in my own messy head. The modkill was frustrating and certainly not good for my sanity, and I'm amazed I held it together as well as I did without doing anything to ruin the game (even though I had been informed who the scum were).

I own I'm not the most stable person in the world due to a lack of a support system. And for someone who's as lost and confused as I am.

Btw plum, for as much as you stated you weren't having as much fun and needed a break. It seemed like you eventually came around to at least a little bit. Maybe you just don't replace into large games but keep it at like, idk, 12 players tops? I might be wrong, but it also seemed you had it fun enough when replacing into a small one as scum earlier this year. Maybe I'm wrong but had fun playing with you at least.

This is very unfortunate to hear, but this should definitely be a sign that competitive games like mafia should not be for you to play in. Please don't think the posts I'm making are trying to bully you, but several infractions in a singe game should be addressed and you should understand the viewpoints of the other side of things and why they're important.

Everyone gets modkilled, but we're a small group all things considered and there should be some ettiquette followed. Deleting things when you're upset is very insulting to everyone else trying to solve the game. We've all been there, but hopefully this is a learning experience and something you can keep in mind to not do should you eventually give mafia anoth whack.

Was giving yinz an out for a fakeclaim or an opening to get town to reveal they were power to us. It just sows more chaos.

MI wasn't on my list, but he could have been due to what my pms said. My PMs said no one else had their role when I got mine. Thus MI couldn't have been distaken from the pool. It's simply an error. No biggie. If it wasn't an error, MI has to gamble on me being scum or back off and admit my role fits which makes me basically viewed as town in addition to my play and its an easy coast.

I didn't account for an error existing there.

I do apologize for my need to delete those posts. I was not in a good place and didn't want to see that reminder. While it wasn't a meltdown, I was not thinking straight and fully admit it. I am sorry, and if I ever do play again when I'm in a better place, I promise I don't go on a deleting spree. I understand now just what it is I did and feel guilty for it. The intent was not to sabotage the game at all.

Still don't appreciate Suprak's conniption. That went a little too far.

Just with me, I'd prefer a host asking me politely, like "Are you sure this is healthy for you?" instead of telling me I can't play. I remember when I hosted Survivor ORGs that there was a guy who had a suicidal meltdown in the first round and I asked him if he really wanted to be in the game or if I should replace him. He played and ended up being fine. IIRC he appreciated my approach as opposed to other players saying I should tell him he should quit.

Balance is impossible to gauge cuz we smoked the third party at the start. Town had more ways to stop the arsonist than we did. In fact, I don't think we had any way to stop him.

4 mislynches and 5 scum it's fine when you figure the indy can hurt scum more than town.

That's fine for pregame, but once you're in game it's a bit harder to execute that. Like attacking someone's mental health is a no no and all, but there is a level of 'theater can happen.' People should not be using mental health state as a play as scum, but in the vein of saying something like "I'm having a bad day I'm going to bed see you day 2" is a permissable play even if you're having a great day and lurking like fuck. It is a good idea for hosts to touch base with a player that may seem like they're going in a poor direction, but once the game starts you should aim to be responsible for yourself. A pre game warning seems like a good idea though.

Thinking of us hitting indy night 1, it actually is another reason shooting like that worked out. Otherwise we janitor night 1 and really in this case having arsonist confirmed worked better for us than knowing he was dead and it not being a for sure thing arsonist existed

Btw as someone that often gets pushed hard as town I am legitimately surprised how easy I had it this game. The only thing I can for sure say I'd do differently as town is defend MZero but I just feel like we could not lose at that point. Would've if we still needed three mislynches. I just tried to focus more on thinking like town than thinking what's smart for my team.

Thought it was very fun to scum though! I'm surprised several people seem to think that's not fun.
