It's cold enough that I'd have to go hide in my car, assuming my relatives and friends were also without electricity. Which I mean, it's not too bad in there. I have a hybrid so it's not like the fumes would kill me and it could probably do that fine for six hours, just not exactly enjoyable but doable.

Wouldn't techinally be a problem but I'd rather it didn't.

It's warm where I am and I can see pretty well in the dark.

Are we talking the grid power? If so, wouldn't affect me at all as I'm on an off-grid solar setup.

If thats what goes down, then I also have a portable backup mini power thingy that can also charge from a solar panel, and it's got enough charge to run the modem for far more than the 10 minutes until I head off to work. It can also run the modem for far more than 6 hours, and beyond that I have charged power banks etc if my phone or tablet needed a charge during that time.

I don't have any heating, and for cooling, just a fan that isn't critical and could probably also run off the backup unit.

I'd have to settle for older games on my steam deck

I have cold pizza in the fridge. I wfh and I have a switch/my phone/vita/ and steam deck fully charged....so I'd actually love it if it means I can stop working for 6 hours. I also have this Alan Moore short story book I need to read.

I live in an area that has the opposite weather problems. If it went offline for a few hours during the winter not a big deal. No snow or freezing temps here. If it goes out during the summer? That's bad.

I'd be fine. I've got blankets and I've got hot water for desperate times.

It would suck but I could manage 6 hours. I'd probably have put on extra layers of clothing though. Other than that, I'd just be bored.

I dont have access to a car right now. So, Id have to get one of my siblings to come get me. Its 5F.

If it is just 6 hours, probably blanket time. -1 F, but the house shouldn't cool down that fast.

Yeah, bored as shit. I would actually walk over to my Dad's and sit next to the wood burning stove. Probably stay busy heating up food, and drinking beer.

No very. Sure its cold out, but my furnace doesnt run overnight at -30C so not running for 6 hours during the day would be fine.

And came back on at 6pm today? Moderately screwed.

My heat is natural gas, so I'd be warm at least.
I'd have no food, coffee, or tv/games though so it would suck dick farts.
