Lmfao, what the actual fuck is this game? What madman came up with this?

Thought I was getting into a typical retro FPS game, but man oh man this is a different beast.

I knew it was a looter shooter/roguelike made to be like Wolfenstein/Doom, but was not expecting to have a skill tree that's a "Mario game", or this weird hub world that's like one of those cheesy horror games made in Flash in the 2000's.

But the moment that really melted my brain was when the second skill tree was a fucking "Pokmon game". Had to take a breather because I'm pretty sure that turned my brain to mush.

Indie games now are wild lmfao. Well worth the price of admission, but damn if it isn't a tough game.

I've heard of the game but had no idea about either of these, so now I'm in a state of wtf is this game too. That sounds so wild, and I just looked up gameplay which had the guy gaining dash speed after beating a platforming section. It even has a Super Mario World-esque map for its skill tree minigame on top of that.

I vaguely knew about the Mario style skill tree, but getting the second cartridge and it being a Pokmon knockoff fucking floored me. Probably the hardest I've ever laughed at a game that wasn't trying to make me laugh.

Like literally one second you're mowing down zombies with a bunch of crazy ass guns, and then out of nowhere it's like you're playing an entirely different game.

Nightmare Reaper is a god damn madman's fever dream while coked out of his fucking mind, and it's amazing for it.

Name me another game you can get a carpet bombing, napalm spewing shotgun.

Soundtrack is amazing too. The opening to Lucid Mayhem is so good.
