Kinda feels like an important detail to lead with if you're the media. The White House asked the DOJ to search Biden's house. It wasn't a DOJ request and, unlike Trump who refused to turn over documents and lied about having them despite the Archives knowing he did, there was no search warrant executed for Biden.
