I think a lot of the users here are just not very happy with their life and shortcomings and use this place as outlet for their life frustrations if we are being honest

Cause we are old

Cause the world most of us are apart of is depressing. So, you hear abunch of depressing shit and then get on here and see other people being dicks and be a dick to them back. I honestly wish I knew how to take an interest in less depressing shit. I seemed to have planted my feet into it tho. Nobody told me it was quicksand :0

I've done it. You can be condescending tho, I never pick up on it anyway. I know what I need to do, just can't seem to put it in action and make it stick. Also, how I am hear is usually effected by everything other than what's here. This place has no emotional grip on me. That's why I mentioned that the stuff outside of CE is suffocating. Everywhere I go it's people I love struggling and trying to keep their head above water.

I have a massive chip on my shoulder due to unresolved childhood trauma, also human civilization is careening towards ecological disaster which may result in termination of the species and much of life on Earth among other concerns.

Disruptive posts and hostile attitudes get the most attention from peers. More adopt this behavior.
Deviations are ignored or met with hostility, pressures users to conform. Negative feedback loop.

It really hard for me to see anything I don't have a personal connection with as cute lol. Even when I have a personal connection, a lot of the time it's like "I logically know this is cute" instead of an actual feelings. Don't get me wrong, I have my moments. They're just far and few. Trying to pull me out of this atm is just gonna be annoying to everyone involved. But I do appreciate the attempt. You got a good heart. Also, it's not like I don't laugh a lot. It's just also at mostly dark shit lol.

Because nobody ever stops feeding the trolls. Then everybody became a troll. Mods don't care about trolling, they even get in on the shit posting so we have an entire board filled with asinine bad faith arguments where one troll is trying to one up the other one or bait each other into a moderation by the very inconsistent enforcement of the TOS. it's not even an actual conversation it's just people trying to yell over each other with tired uncreative quips. Also if you don't play into the very specific way some of these posters want you to react to their bait they will block you, which proves an agenda at play.

I actually have a better mental state when I don't go to this website . I used to come her for genuine discussions about things but those hardly ever happen anymore.

some lack hope, some need to stop being lazy, some need to stop working, some need to relax, some need to relax less, everyone is different. it's hard to diagnose it, but everyone has a reason to express their hurts one way or another and usually that outlet is online. generally i like to think that people are more hopeful lately, especially as Putin is signifying real intent to end the war so he can get shit under fucking control over in Russia, before it hardcore goes out of control.

or like how the CCP recently relaxed all the laws regarding COVID and they're just tanking the massive hit a couple years after covid-fatigue everywhere else. they tried too hard to hold out the old way, except this time with real legitimate concern and care for the people rather than harm intended. Xi's actually a good guy who just seems to be trying his best. but wtf was that with getting rid of the old guy? That old guy is God's friend, what the fuck? Bring that old guy back because he has to keep teaching Xi a few things yet, Xi's still a young guy who is still clearly learning many things. like what the fuck is going on here? the young have so much to learn from their elders, but there's a general disrespect lately for the elderly and I'm not sure why people have not really thought it through and realized how much wisdom and knowledge and experience can be queried for just the cup of coffee, and how quickly one could advance with these sources of information and knowledge outside the confines of this immature source of information

anyway, generally I think that besides these major world issues, everyone has every reason to be optimistic about climate change which was the last real issue of any immediate danger to the civilization's continued shared flourishing. renewables have completely ended the risks from climate change, along with the impending continued accelerated innovations in fusion. the news from these can easily be verified, the world will be cleaner than ever. And everything will be more automated than ever. And there will be a simple credit-based system to incentivize more resource extraction and exploratory types of labor, of all kinds of exploration (both physical and intellectual and creative), for access to more nice things that enrich life over time and don't deteriorate, which when paired with infinite time in new bodies, is a fair and scalable system that is sufficiently rewarding for people who love God.
