I'm playing it on the Game and Watch and man, fuck this last part. Palace 6 takes forever to travel to if you die and have to restart (which you will a lot) and is a slap in the dick, finding the cross and the boss is a pain in the dick, traveling to the Great Palace is a punch in the dick, and the Great Palace itself is a kick in the dick.

Fuck Zelda 2. I like this game but it's pretty bullshit at times >_>

I definitely should do that. If I get a big enemy encounter it's gg otherwise >_> Thank God they actually let you restart at the palace. Imagine you had to go through this every single time you game over'd in the Great Palace

Best advice I can give for the Valley of Death is
-ALWAYS use the Jump spell, and
-take it slowly, let the enemies come to you. If you rush you're gonna get your ass knocked into the lava

The jumps in the predetermined spots on the path to the Great Palace are harder than the random encounters, so try to step onto the space as a shadow hits you on the map so it takes precedence. If you miss, you can just walk right back out.
