This is the Xbox wired version. I got it because I wanted a wired controller to use for Kaizo romhacks primarily and it is the only one with 3.5mm port which I use because my ears only tolerate apple iPhone style earbuds .Now with the trigger stops(made with hot glue gun and zip ties) I play COD with it and it is my favorite controller I've ever had. Also has two extra buttons on the back to assign to whatever you want. I assign them to jump and crouch/slide so I can do those without taking my right hand off of the stick(makes jump/drop shots easy as hell with practice). I also use them for an extra run button in SMW for tricky shell stuff.

I have had bad luck with their old ones (SN30, SN30 pro +) due to the dpad wearing out from hard usage (SMW kaizo hacks or Mario Maker etc will wear the old ones out). 8bitdo sent me 2 new dpad rubber internals during 1 romhack (tbf it was Invictus and took me 151 hours to beat).

If you like SNES controllers or PS4 controllers these are great. Unfortunately Xbox has no wireless version but the cable is very long and you can even use a USB extension and it still works fine.

I tried an 8bitdo SNES controller a while back. I just did not like the dpad. I prefer clicky, not mushy. But all the third party controllers have mushy dpads. That was the last off-brand controller I ever bought since it was supposed to be one of the good ones and I still didnt like it. Right now I use an elite series 2, which is great in every regard except for the fact Ive been through 3 of them due to QC

im willing to give 8bitdo another chance if they ever make their buttons not mushy.

i bought 2 of the wireless ones and been liking them so far. haven't used the back buttons for anything yet.

i also bought their snes wireless controller years ago. worked nicely on the snes.

I have this little thing, which is cool aesthetically but the fact that it only works with phones does kinda limit the utility for me:

I used my OG SN30 pro on my PC. PC and phones are the only two things it works on I think, no switch or xbox/ps4

The SN30 Pro+ is a god tier controller though, and I'd definitely buy a pro 2 if this thing craps out on me

I have one of those, it's pretty trash tbqh. Doesn't even seem to work on Switch, only PC, and the analog stick rubber is so incredibly cheap that it would have little crumbles coming off it as I played. The left thumbstick has a permanent dent in it from where another controller's cord laid on top of it in storage.

Terrible piece of hardware for the price tbqh, it cost like $45 or something but it's cheesier than the $15 Gamestop 360 controller I have

Oh, that $45 price btw? Doesn't even include a wireless adapter :^)
Enjoy its premium 3" long USB-C cable though :^)

Great battery life on it, though pairing it on devices can be a bit of a hassle at times. Huh, the Pro 2 controller has a hard toggle instead of a button combo press for pairing?

XBOX doesn't allow third parties to make wireless controllers.

This is my issue too. I hate having to look up the button combo to pair it with my switch if I haven't used it in awhile and have forgotten. A toggle would be ideal

Excellent controller, but I have the wireless Switch/PC version (also works on Android interestingly enough)

There's also the new 8BitDo Ultimate controller, with the asymmetrical analog placement like the Xbox controllers have

I have that controller. I use it to play dmc 3 and other action titles.

The og Xbox one doesn't work with Bluetooth earbuds. Well not without an adapter, that ironically doesn't work with third party controllers.

Also I'm too cheap to spend money on Airpods. If there is a decent budget option that are the same shape as apples then I'm all ears but I can't spend that kinda money when my hearing suck ass anyway.

They do, but you will lose out on Apple specific features that require the Apple ecosystem.

Just bought myself the 8BitDo Arcade Stick, never owned one of these before but I've had good luck with the 8BitDo brand, and these had pretty good reviews.

Unfortunately it looks like it'll take Amazon until the 22nd to ship them out.

For Android phones, I can personally recommend the Sennheiser CX Plus True Wireless for noise-cancelling wireless earbuds.
