He doesn't want to stay super buff as he's getting older. Guy is getting a lot of work that isn't Drax related. Kilowog is too large even for him, and Atrocitus....I don't think you can make that look great with practical effects. Hell, he looks like shit drawn by most artists who aren't Mahnke or Reis in the comics. Practical Bautista Atrocitus would look like Injustice 2 Atrocitus, which is...very ugly.
