Saw this from another article

"The View" co-host Joy Behar hit conservatives and heterosexual men on Wednesday for their support of tackle football. "45% of Americans think that tackle football is appropriate. Heterosexual men voted the most support for kids doing football. And conservatives were more likely to support youth tackle football. Just saying," Behar said with disdain. The hosts were discussing Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin, who collapsed during a game Monday night and suffered cardiac arrest, and renewed calls for the NFL to make safety a top priority.

tl:dw ban football. Dont let kids play it.

Football should be banned. The rate of CTE that it incurs for players before they even hit the NFL level is insanely high.

She's a quack and a shill. She's that cohost on talk shows that's basically still there to be paid to stir the pot. If she didn't, she would have been cut for diversity sake. Barely anyone actually likes that she's there.

Her commentary on American football is also sexist and surprisingly (not so surprisingly for Behar) homophobic. Straight men of diverse demographics are the majority of viewers, but there's also women who are fans with favorite teams, and LGBTQ people who watch also (notably gay men). Same can be said for certain other high profile professional sports too. There's plenty of us gay guys into watching soccer cups both for personal experience as athletes and the hot players.

Behar knows this. The network has paid people who shove statistics in her face. She's just spewing busted rhetoric for views. The View as a show has become a meme for dumbass hot takes in attempts to fight yearly declining viewership. The only one that tops it is The Real, which has proven itself anything but.

Joys an idiot because this particular injury was a one in a trillion case where youd win the lottery before this could happen.

Think about how much impact goes on each game, how often has this particular injury occurred?

this isnt the injury you push the agenda for. CTE, yeah. The NFL is trying to find ways to help, because they know if they dont the sport will be quite dead in coming years as more and more parents decide they wont let their kid play full contact football.

I love professional football. It has a lot of issues on all levels but I still really enjoy it. I will say that youth football probably shouldn't be a thing and high school football should have rules to substantially reduce the contact of it. Even college shouldn't be anywhere as dangerous as it currently is, especially if the athletes aren't getting paid.

If adults with full knowledge of the risks want to play a sport that could potentially kill them for a lot of money, then that's on them. Anyone else, not so much and the rules need to be modified to substantially reduce that risk.
