I'm guessing they fired a bunch of temps after the holidays and the people left haven't adjusted yet.

It depends on what you buy. If its something ordered regularly it usually comes fast but if its not it could take a week or so.

Be a winner like me and order shit just to forget about it

Then be surprised when it's not only there, but it got there earlier than anticipated

Its like the weirdest thing. I bought a big ass 9kW generator off of Amazon and it came literally next day; but a tube of JB Weld putty took 4 days. Both were shipped and sold by Amazon with Prime shipping.

Depends on how close you are to a warehouse that has the item in stock

We have a couple nearby so I havent had any late deliveries in like two years

Probably getting inundated with Christmas returns

I just recently ordered something and it came within hours. Other things have taken nearly a week. It's a toss-up.

Supply chain is fucked. No truckers, not paid enough. Not enough warehouse handlers, not paid enough. Too many corporate suits who sit in their office and whine on twitter, paid too much.

My grocery is out of basic dog food. DOG FOOD.

They mistreat and underpay the drivers, so theres no surprise that theyre having trouble getting workers. Most of the issues with the current state of things come from a broken, greedy business model of borderline criminal pay and sadistic short staffing. Why pay four people when you could heap the work on one person for no extra pay?

This is what we are seeing across the board. Not to mention the fact that the trucking industry doubled down on its discrimination against marijuana users. News flash. We arent going to quit smoking to go drive a truck. Its 2023, so get with the times if you want the work to get done. People at the top need to start taking home much less and the people at the bottom need to thrive. Not for a few years, forever.

A lot of things I order with Prime end up coming in about a week. Seems the only thing I benefit from Prime is the free shipping.
