This is basically going to be like when Al Franken was forced to resign over acts of inappropriate sexual conduct, yet prominent Republican figures like Matt Gaetz and Donald Trump retained and maintained high seats of political power despite evidence of worse allegations. More proof that Republicans only care about power at all costs.
