I only watched shrek 1 and 2. Would I still like without having seen the remaining 5 movies leading up to it?

I saw it with my kids and loved it, Jack Horner stole the show.

Death was also badass.

There's a character that has a history with puss and was probably in the the last movie, but it's not necessary to know. I still greatly enjoyed the movie start to finish.

I haven't seen anything other than those 2 movies too. There is definitely a connected universe tho.

I liked it too

I know Pixar and Disney get a lot of love but I do overall tend to like more Dreamworks movies more often than not when I watch them. Kinda feel like they don't get enough credit.

A Dreamworks movie about animated talking animals reamed Disney this year, a true embarrassment.

My nieces loved the movie, they never seemed bored. The cast sold it. I really liked seeing the talents of Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek. They had great chemistry as characters. And I have to applaud the villains in this movie too. Even as the babysitter, I wanted to see how it all ended. No heavy-handed messages, just classic fun. I hope they make more like this.

Jack Horner was the only weak spot for me, but I get why he is there.
