Waco siege is still the most fucked up out of all of them. Yeah the Oklahoma City bomb killed more people but it wasn't our own Government that did it.

That's the official narrative of our government, yes.

I'm not saying Koresh's cult did nothing wrong, but the FBI and ATF should be held to a higher standard. Bullet holes in the roof show that helicopters were firing round in the compound. There is also evidence the fired on fleeing civilians after the fire broke out.

They completely went in "guns blazing" and provoked the whole massacre.

No mention of OJ yet? For all the talk of it being the 'trial of the century' it really was something that the media blew up & kept focus on for years.

And let me tell you-- when the verdict came in, it was wild to see the reactions of white people vs. black people.

According to a tv miniseries a few years back on Paramount I think, Waco was all the fault of the FBI. The compound was not really hurting anyone but just wanted to mind their own business. The FBI over reacted and got a bunch of people killed, including kids, which was originally supposedly their reason for freaking out

The actress who is famous for being Supergirl on CW, played Koresh's wife

The guy who played Koresh was a really good actor

This probably would have won some Oscars if it was a movie. But it got overlooked cause it was just a cable TV miniseries

I remember being in 2nd grade and just out of the blue the principal announced over the intercom "he's been found not guilty" and my teacher swore. Nobody had any idea what was going on and the teacher said it was about the OJ trial. Nobody knew how to react because we were all in the 2nd grade.

I'm sure there is audio. It might even be authentic. There is also audio that the FBI authorized incendiary flash grenades to be launched into the compound.

The problem I have with all this is that Janet Reno went into CYA mode so fast and hard when it looked bad, politically, on the entire administration. It's hard to trust anything they said. IIRC, the FBI fired a few middle ranking agents, made a dog and pony show about it, but no one actually got charged or faced serious responsibility for what happened.

Wait, were they there to arrest them or serve a warrant to search the compound? I don't remember.

The 90's were never perfect.
No one argued that.

They were our roaring 20's, and I said it at the time.

They were not perfect at all.
But they weren't as fucked up as shit is right now.

Columbine and 9/11 stomped out any hope the '90s gave us.

And we still can't stop fitting the Cold War..that's some boomer shit.
The Cold War was a GDP War, and now we fight that, amongst ourselves.

The price gouging that is going on is completely bullishit.
