in the killers opinion they all deserved it. i only watched the first one and forgot all the characters except John Saw so I forgot if they actually deserve it

I mean they're not specially designed to kill kids, kids are just small and stupid. Wonka's factory is dangerous for anyone. You probably shouldn't touch anything unless he says you can. And even then, you're trusting a guy named Wonka.

Wonka clearly warns them. And it isnt stuff you can accidentally do either. Closest was Augustus, because he went in the river the Wonka said not to go in. I cant blame him though, since everything else was edible.

The fizzy lifting drinks was Charlies fault. He was told not to drink them.

Violet ate the gum she was clearly told not to eat.

Veruka or whatever her name was, clearly caused that herself.

Mike also didnt listen, and had many chances to get off the machine, but he didnt.

Wonka warned them before each event, and they did it anyway.

Not saying that at all. Im saying they were told to be careful, were t, and suffered consequences. Wonka told them all not do it it.

Speaking of which, in the book, it seems deeply implied that they may have died. However, in the old movie, it seems only Veruka may have died. Iirc, Wonka said the chute goes into the furnace or something on that day.

Its more like Se7en and the kids are getting punished for their sins.

It's not at all implied they died in the book. At the end, Charlie sees them walking out of the factory. Augustus is covered in chocolate that he keeps eating, Violet is purple, Veruca is covered in garbage, and Mike is stretched out from being thrown in the taffy puller.

My 7 year old watched it for the first time at school and was traumatized lol, blueberry girl really got to her.
