You know they'll just make a bunch of self-aware jokes about the internet's reaction and a "they'll watch it anyway" message somewhere in the new season regardless if they hired a better writer, anyway. I've always adopted a "The best move is to give little to no attention to the product" philosophy for these kind of remakes/reimaginings unless it actually gets a very good (positive) reception. You guys have to remember that people who are not as online as us and the people talking about how fucking laughably bad this is are also watching it too out of curiosity and it being the latest big HBO Max release based on a popular franchise they grew up with. It's not all hate watching. It's just people who are so outside of the greater internet sphere that they don't even know what the term hate watching is. --- I stream sometimes.
