Do you want gunplay. MGSV. Do you want brawling. Mad Max. Do you want to pay $5 for both. Wait for the next sale

Mad Max. But I'm also extremely against MGS5. It had the bones of an amazing game, but outside the gameplay everything just felt off for me. Even outside the usual stuff. I don't know if you've seen that meme of WoW they did for Molten Core? where aggroing a bear aggroes every bear in a 5 mile radius? That's what the game felt like for me.

Even if I would knock out key points, if I hit a guard with a silenced pistol, every character in the zone knew my exact location.

MGSV is engaging and fun to play, one of the best video games ever made. The exact opposite of Mad Max.

MGSV was genuinely great until the ending(or lack thereof), whereas Mad Max is kinda mediocre in basically every way, though the way they did the storms was pretty cool.

I think mgsv is the better game. mad max is too generic but still fun.

like someone else said though, these two games go on sale all the time for $5 or even less. I'd just wait a bit to get both

mad max is the definition of a 7/10 game. its very solid for what it is, but nothing really special in any regard (though props to making the car combat feel good). its a game you play when everything else of more note have run their course. MGS5 has its own issues namely with its story and more repetitive design choices, but its individual gameplay elements and systems are polished to damn near perfection.

I don't think I could describe Metal Gear Solid 5 better. It had polish, but at the same time, it just felt like they relied too much on repeating the same mission with just slight variations to push the story. A lot of the areas were very similar in their own regions. I fully expected a major city to pop up like Jerusalem in Assassins Creed. And while Mother Base was alright, until you get further into the story, its just a break point between missions.

It would be nice to greet ur Intel comrades that was hiding in that major cities instead just capturing enemies outpost #125 for 69th times. Why most of the time spent on ACC instead roaming other parts of the world like they did in mgs4.

And for what it's worth, I'm not really looking for a good story, I'm just looking for something fun to play.

OWN THEM AGAIN. But seriously though, I'd suggest going back in time a bit and looking at older games. I played Splinter Cell 1 for the first time last year. Hard as balls.

MGSV is the only Metal Gear I ever played other than the NES game. Played about 10 hours, then put it down when something else I was more interested in dropped, and never picked it back up. Mad Max is a generic brawler in a generic open world, but it was a lot of fun imo.

I actually am doing this with a PS3 I bought recently since there's a lot of games I never got around to playing around that time. With that being said, I have a shit load of games so it's kind of hard to decide on what I want to play since I practically have every game I want.

MadMax can be fun, and is pretty solid. But the bases get very generic after a while. And the story is meh. However the car stuff, and combat is pretty awesome at times. Especially the car combat.

MGSV is an experience. An unfinished expression by the artists no less. But is an experience. And has amazing gameplay. And a pretty killer soundtrack.
