It was all right. I appreciate the idea of using two Stands cooperating to win against the villain, although I suppose that's kinda been done before with Part 4, but really this is kind of "in tandem", which is rare for the heroes.

I had some "meh" attitude towards the story, but I feel a lot of that has to do with the scanlation. You never really appreciate proper localization until you're reminded that most scanlations are kinda bland.

Wonder of U is so utterly fucking dogshit

I was really hoping that the final conflict would be a multi-party battle royale for possession of the Rokakaka rather than a one-on-one, because that's where it really felt like things were heading.

I guess we did get two simultaneous 1v1s but it's still not the battle royale I wanted :(

I do love that the killing blow was somebody literally throwing her unconscious child at the villain. Although Tooru really did get introduced to the story way too late to be an effective-feeling final boss imo

I also thought it went way too dang hard into "just like the Stand from other continuity but different".

I mean what was Wonder of U but Chariot Requiem with extra steps.

Also I don't know what the heck I'm supposed to think of Joshuu. Dude's a literal rapist and I'm supposed to feel sorry for him or something?

Joshu was the true villain

Honestly just feels unfinished. Kind of expecting part 9 to continue off from it.

One of the biggest blunders in the last arc, bringing him in with the pot only to turn him into a weird joke/nuisance? He gets a fucking girder rail calamity smacked against his skull and somehow survives the story.

I think one of the end's most fundamental problems is misusing the Higashikatas and Jobin, which can't really be fixed.

That said, apparently the known premise of part 9 so far is the Jojo "sailing to an island looking to get rich", which could certainly resurface the rokakaka plotline, since they're found in southern islands.

Heavy copium but I'm hoping maybe some of the characters who died aren't actually dead. And he can certainly do a Jotaro and make a returning character from part 8 be much more developed and interesting in part 9 then 8.

I expect Josuke to appear in part 9 as a somewhat major character. I can't think of anyone who died who could come back without it being memberberries at this point though. Jobin's already been Heisenberg'd

I can see Araki coming up with some way to bring Rai back. Tbh the circumstances of his death never really sat right with me considering he took a much, much worse hit against Poor Tom and survived.

It honestly sucked, I just hope Part 9 Jojoland will make up for it.

I want Kei to return. She was barely pursuing Tooru in the first place since her main motivation was to deliver the phone to Josuke and her almost hitting WoU was just collateral damage. Kaato intending to have Tooru "help" Tsurugi was way more direct than that. Kei's death was incredibly lame when his direct pursuers survived much worse hits and it was more for the shock value than anything. I don't think he even follows up on it either.

I did like that Wonder of U was a long range stand with autonomy. Closest we got to that was Whitesnake, who did operate on its own a bit.

Part 8 did peak halfway through with Tamaki Damo though.

I think it peaked with Ozon Baby myself. A three way free for all where every side had their ingenious moments, from Jobin and Tsurugi, to Josuke and Rai, to Poor Tom. And the stand itself is pretty unique.

Vitamin C & Killer Queen is a GOAT jojo arc, and yeah Ozon Baby is great due to the moving parts and Jobin's autonomy. I think JJL itself peaks at ch94 when Norisuke is microwaved
