back in my day we had access to all of the internet on a desktop computer

You could just not give your 4 year old a phone.

my 10-year-old nephews spend most of their time watching stupid Youtube videos, lame attempts at comedy

There was a month when my sister got so disgusted with them that she shut off their Internet for a month. My nephews were refusing to do normal tasks because they were so addicted to Youtube

i used DOS when I worked at blockbuster video because that was the most advanced operative system they could ever afford

but it could only be utilized to process videos and video accessories

The internet was relatively "safer" 20-30 years ago, so even if you grew up on it, people today are gonna be affected much differently.

Now it's full of ads, scams, manipulation, misinformation, algorithms, grifters, etc etc.

And it's not only gonna fuck up the kids. It's actively fucking up the adults right now.

I can't relate to people who were online at a super young age. I never had access to the internet until I was 15

Born around 2007 means growing up in a world where social media always reigned. Being a teenager around 2020 means having Covid bookended by political insanity dropped on top of your impressionable, developmental teen years.
Around 2025 these will start becoming adults.
