Police in Yachiyo, Chiba Prefecture, said Wednesday they have arrested pro boxer Ikemen Atsushi on suspicion of assaulting his 20-year-old girlfriend near his home. According to police, the boxer, whose real name is Atsushi Suzuki, assaulted the woman at around 11:50 p.m. on Dec 25, Fuji TV reported. The woman told police she and Suzuki had been walking along the street when they got into an argument. Police said Suzuki grabbed the woman by the collar and punched her in the face several times. The woman suffered a broken cheekbone under her right eye. A passerby helped the woman and called 110. Police said Suzuki has admitted to the charge.
