Is it basically a full time job? About how many hours would it take to get to running raids?

Good luck, you have to pass a rigorous background check by Blizzard to make sure youre worthy to even play their game

It's not hard at all.They realized a while back that asking new players to go through nearly twenty years worth of content to get to max level was a bit much, so they streamlined the process.

Getting to max level for a new player would probably take about 25 hours or so. Getting into raiding at that point wouldn't take too long, maybe a week or so of prep. So I'd guess maybe 35 hours altogether?

Nah, not a full time job by any means. It can be played quite casually, at least in this expansion.

Right now, it's pretty easy to get into it. You can play just about any amount of time and find something fun to do. If you just want to play alone, you have world quests that give some gear. If you want to play in a small group/do shorter content, there are several difficulties of dungeons you can run for loot.

Depending on the difficulty of raid you want to get into, it doesn't take long at all. LFR and Normal is pretty basic. Heroic and Mythic might have group leaders that demand a certain item level/experience prerequisite (such as clearing it on previous difficulties), but that all depends on who you talk to.

WoW is way past its prime now

If you're playing casually, not at all. If you're in it for the end game, just no.

It's not hard to get into it... and then you wake up 3 months later with 4 max level characters and no memory of what you've been doing since you started.

leveling is insanely quick, and you can jump into raids really quickly after hitting max level. pvp is also quite easy to gear for

This is combined with a new system you can pick which expansion you level up your character in which I like a lot because you can really dive deep into the expansion you pick and see the story from start to finish.
