No one. They're worthless. He's being charged with disrupting 911 communications so he will be locked up for a while.

He should receive a count for each persons Internet he messed up plus an extra severe one for the 911.

People who target infastructure are scum. Those who target the absolutely core ones like water or electricity should always be sent to prison for life no exceptions. Disruption to those can potentially be a mass fatality event.

I was thinking some kind of 4G conspiracy-type nonsense myself.

Hendrix said cutting cables off a utility pole also poses a safety hazard. Someone unfamiliar with various cable types could find themselves cutting into a live electrical line.

So now we know what the answer is here. bundle the power lines and fiber together.

Fiber optic cable is just glass, so I don't think it has much resale value

About the best that can be done to get any money out of a 150 feet of fiber optic cable is to make those dumb novelty lights.

It wouldn't have surprised me. There's plenty of crazies of all kinds that live here. A few years ago, one of our Wal Marts in town had an IED thrown in it because they stopped selling the confederate flag. He also threatened other local stores, our local paper, and our local TV news station. Used to drive past his house. Dude had the flag and several signs in his yard defending the flag.
