If you're doing a shared load of laundry, and the other person didn't empty their pockets and some paper disintegraded in the water and bit of it got all over the clothes.

Was it your responsibility to have gone through their shit before you threw it in the wash, or is it their fault for putting a booby-trapped piece of clothing into the hamper?

This. My ex would forget receipts and shit in her pockets all the time, but the paper wouldn't disintegrate like that.

That said TC, it's not your responsibility to check their pockets, but if you're going to be doing shared laundry with this person often, it's probably a good idea to check their pockets, going forward.
