You're right, but it's cold outside, I have a bad right foot, and I would like a physical copy for sentimental reasons....

Hmm perhaps have an on demand delivery service like postmates pick it up and bring it to you. It would cost a lil more but you'd have it today

only mc's design is fucked and that's only because of their hair, everyone else looks like pre-3H which was intended to be pretty bland

By most accounts I've seen, Three Houses is excellent and much better than Fates. Personally, I don't feel I can really justify buying 3H until I finish Fates (at least the two I already own), but I just haven't had much drive to go through them, so here I sit, FE-less.

Three Houses' main problem is that it is WAY too ambitious and the story collapses in on itself like halfway through the game- every route feels varying levels of rushed. Another problem that is also a selling point is the immense freedom in character building- characters quite literally can be anything (though there is some variance in magic and skill sets, you can also just make 8 wyvern lords and pew through the game). Third problem is that replaying the game is a huge chore because school segments are especially tedious on a replay. It's not quite as bad as Persona games when it comes to battle time vs extra activities but its close.

Fates' problem was its mediocre story and a final route that felt way too saccharine. Fates actually had the best class and abilities systems of any FE imo. Characters couldn't become EVERYTHING, you actually had to plan around if you wanted specific builds based on how you paired everyone. But man you could make some interesting unique characters. And the boon/bane system was badass, we need it back again.

...but getting to the fun part requires you to be at least halfway through the game before you really can start to dissect things and begin planning. Plus it's three games so no reason not to just blitz through the game if you're able, so you probably won't get to extensive character planning until Revelations.

I remember someone making everyone a Fortress Knight. And apparently, Mercedes was their best one...

Also, I'm gonna have to be honest, I think Engage's protagonist is one of the worst character designs I've ever seen. It's unbelievable hideous.

Yea... I'm watching someone play using the female and it's not a good design. I'm really not sure what they were going for here.

if it's any consolation her hair color becomes a lot less less prominent during Engages..... because her entire body gets blasted by another color in low contrast

I heard that were some. But thats just what I got from a quick glance, and based on what I know about the ones they say you can romance That said, Im nowhere near romancing anyone yet, so

From what it said wherever I was looking, it mentioned that most were ok with Same-Sex relationships, but a few werent But that was also the day it came out. So, they also could have been wrong And then being wrong and having more options, would be cool

Also, while I really do like Fire Emblem games, I always have trouble trying to pick who I want to use

etie is mai waifu, use her pls. even though she has the lowest growths in literally the entire game, the growths that do matter for an archer are pretty high

knights are crazy good this game so might as well use louis

also go for at least one martial master, their attack animations are INSANELY COOL

I have the healers, who are the ones that become martial masters, right? And I have Etie, as she is my archer. Also, I just got Yunaka, and shes really good so far

Flamme's intended progression is martial master healer yeah; the other healer Celine is a sort of physical/magical/healer hybrid that actually has impressive stats for all 3 and a unique lord advanced class

Yunaka's been my most capable non-Alear character for a long time now; I'm up to over halfway through the game and my Iron Dagger+3 is still competitive damage to everyone else's silvers and killers. In a game where dodgetanks don't really exist, she's really close to one

Yeah. I hear people have been giving you extra Avoidance to dodge like nearly everything Shes definitely one of the ones I want for my main team.

I recently heard you dont get married to anyone in the end, anyway You apparently just promise to be friends forever

most S ranks are still definitely romantic, but Anna's and Jean's support conversations in Japanese had a definite "waiting for them to grow up so I can date them" thing going which was kinda weird. the weirdos are especially out in force over anna

the 14-17 year olds were translated more ambiguously/flirty instead of romantic apparently, but anyone older than 18 is still pretty openly romantic. super old people (which by FE standards is 35+, lmao) are platonic in both languages

I agree that S ranks are romantic. But does this game even have S rank?

That said, the not getting married is just what I read online

you get one single S rank ring later in the game when you complete a specific chapter and you have literally anyone at A rank, and you can give it to anyone at A rank

nah, emo archer boy owns too hard and I only needed one
I just did chapter 10 and 11, so fun. yunaka carried 11 so hard, just sent her in the opposite direction and she dealt with all the crap up there so the fat wyrms wouldn't chase my party. Now I have the other thief and I am wondering if he is even better. kagetsu looks really good but then again 1 range only, can't beat yunaka god yet right?

that second character actually has insanely high growths, second highest total in the game. if you're worried about range you can always slap on an emblem that can attack at range like dlc edelgard or something

chad day one dlc avoider here, I guess he still a good boss killer even with 1 range his bases are insane.
I invested somewhat into Celine and Alfred and they are both kinda falling off, the power creep is no joke

So, I think Louis can be a main for a while. Hes doing work Haha And Yunakas still doing great Even with only 13 characters, Im still having trouble picking out who to use Cant imagine what itll be like when I more than double (or triple) this amount

yeah, louis is still going strong for me at ch 18.
currently, alcryst is the god of my team. paired with lyn, he can one-round corrupted wyrms if he gets Luna procs while engaged.
