When pentamelding, you can use an X for the first overmeld slot, but that's it. The rest have to be IXs. (Note that this is at 90.)

Okay but did you know this: pentamelded items will spiritbond at a faster pace so if you wanna get materia from extracting, it's not a bad idea to shove as much cheap materia as you can in your gear

Tomestone gear is generally better because it has a higher ilvl. Crafted gear is used at the start of a patch for savage so you can get the savage gear and augment the tomestone gear. Sometimes best in slot can use a piece of crafted gear over tomestone/savage raid gear.

yeah i love RDM so much, I might main it as DPS

if i was doing it i'd probably do NIN first, then the ranged physical. i like doing them in order (i got all the jobs to 33, now i'm doing 50, then i'll probably do to 80 and then 90). but if there is one you're gonna be using more often i'd say do it last so it's fresh in your head for whatever comes next.

The important thing about mudras is knowing the last one in each combination
If your mudras are laid out on 1, 2 and 3, 1-2-3 and 2-1-3 would do the same thing; the only things that matter are the amount of mudras you used and the last one.
So, 1-3 and 2-3 do the same thing, 1-2 and 3-2 do the same thing, 3-2-1 and 2-3-1 do the same thing etc.

Hunt trains are the fastest way to get XP or doing levequests. Dungeons take too long if you use duty finder and trusts take too long in general since you can't really wall to wall pull.

For crafters and gatherers use the beast tribes, diadem, scrip turn ins, etc.

what a weird statement. Hunt trains don't give XP and there are no combat levequests after lv60/heavensward
you might have been thinking of the hunting log, which isn't great, or the daily hunt bills, which are pretty alright honestly

best way to level up combat classes fast is daily roulettes (leveling/alliance/main scenario/frontlines) then highest non-level cap dungeon you can do, palace of the dead to 50 and heaven-on-high to mid-60s, bozja from lv71 onward especially at peak hours

Yeah, I dunno why I said that. I was thinking of something else for the hunt trains since I was doing one for materia lol. I meant fates. I did those to level instead of waiting on duty roulette.

FATEs are a bit sus between Heavensward and Stormblood, but they have additional rewards/progression in Shadowbringers and Endwalker so I'd say they're worth doing lv71+
