Goldeneye already didn't hold up in 2000 when Perfect Dark came out

Apparently you can use dual analog on Xbox but not Switch? Silly if true.

Well the Switch version is emulated, not ported IIRC. The online play is through the system interface.

Makes sense if the Xbox version is based on the 360 release of Perfect Dark and the Switch is just the N64 ROM (apparently with widescreen added though so who knows)

That will make my friend very happy because he said he wouldn't want to play online goldeneye unless everyone was forced to use original controls

Yeah, good luck finding one in-stock. Theyre constantly sold-out in the Nintendo Store.

I'm too used to C buttons to use the R-stick for them. If the Switch lets me, I'll map X/Y/A/B to C-buttons, ZR to fire, ZL to reload/interact, and R-stick to cycle weapons.

did some multiplayer with my sister & her husband tonight, still fun!

it was nice that to start with my non-gamer sister was doing pretty well, won the first game pretty clear-cut and it's not like I wasn't trying - plus consistently beat her husband who regularly plays modern FPS

I ended up sweeping the next few matches but it's nice to have a game to play that feels more even with casuals, although yeah my sister was absolutely missing Perfect Dark-only features

I should've unlocked facility tho before playing multi :(
