I am fine with my quick attack, but I always mess up my rhythm when trying to use a heavy attack.

For anyone playing in PC, what are the controls like? I was thinking about getting it, but I dont have the new XBox, nor have I used my One in a while (and not sure if this is on one). So, I was thinking Amit getting it on Steam. But I dont have a controller for it currently. So, I was wondering about controls

I play on PC but with a controller. But its not a complex game. Theres movement incl jump, dodge, heavy and light attacks, a hook shot, partner assist, and a super. Its probably easier on controller but doable on KB+M? I havent tried kb+m tho sorry

I have no doubt it's doable... But I'm horrible at KB+M controls for the most part... I can sometimes do just KB... Depending on the amount of buttons, I can sometimes make it work, though... But I'll probably want until I get a controller... I can probably get one soon...

Yeah, theres certain games I would not play on kb+m and any character action games like this fall under that

i find the circle distracting, just use your ears. the beat is always the same so it doesn't take long to get used to.

i found platforming and combat on KB+M easier than gamepad.

is there a dummy later in the game that can be thrown in the air and has infinite life? id love to just practice on that for a while

Eventually you do get access to a training room.

I'm having a lot of fun with this, I like that there a good amount of platforming as well so that combat doesn't become stale.

There's one thing about the combat that I don't care for, and it's really just personal preference for these types of games. I don't typically like "dial combo" systems where you have to memorize which order of light and heavy attacks to do for combos. I'd rather have timing based systems like how DMC does it. I get it that there's more variety this way, but I feel like I end up either using the same few combos or just button mashing, especially in this one when it's combined with the rhythm system.

It's not a deal breaker or anything but it's my one minor gripe

i get hung up on trying to attack on the beat 100% of the time so im just practicing hitting air a lot lol. i got used to doing the dodges on beat all the time followed by a few attacks i just repeat that for an hour im gonna try in real scenario next after i finish my homework

Game becomes a lot better once you get the parry ability imo.
Makes encounters so much easier. Prior to it i kept getting a bad time score whenever like 4 of the bigger dudes w/ high knockback health bar are included w/ the normal enemies.
