Don't know anything about the not reporting part but you're right about their prosecution rates. Its a fucking travesty and the only reason why as a Gaikokujin you should not try to get into fights there unless you're a resident, or have Japanese friends with you.

To top it off, many incidents get unreported which is the case in many countries and the ones that do get reported, the police will not prosecute unless they are confidant they can get conviction.

Yeah, same. I've never actually paid to get into a strip club. I've had friends who worked as bouncers, DJs, managers, etc. at strip clubs, and they would get us in for free.

One time the paralegal at a law firm I worked at had a second job as a bouncer at a strip club. He kept inviting my friend and I to come down, so we finally did one time. He got us in for free, gave us 2 free pitchers of beer, and put a pretty decent stack of $1 bills on our table for us to tip the strippers with lol.

My other friend from high school was one of the head bouncers at another strip club, and he would get us in for free too. We wouldn't buy any dances, and most of the strippers would come party with us at his bad for free when they got off work around 3 a.m. lol.

That was an example but he was talking about an overlying issue. JRPGs have a lot of issues and there are certainly progressive and supportive users who are against them, Boxington/G0ldie being the one off the top of my head. Sounds pretty familiar to what a lot of frequently banned bigots on this site say.

then mark my posts and we'll let the mods decide if im racist. I wont apologize for people like SMAL using stereotypes against black people to try and create a divide between asian and black people and me saying something about it.

That was an example but he was talking about an overlying issue. JRPGs have a lot of issues and there are certainly progressive and supportive users who are against them, Boxington/G0ldie being the one off the top of my head. I'll be lying if I say I haven't noticed a good chunk of them do tend to end up having anti-Asian beliefs. You should know what I'm talking about since you feel the same about rap. The tweet from the man he was quoting was saying that JRPGS have bad dialog. The man retweeted saying that theres xenophobia in gaming journalism.

I was responding to the tweet that the original person and i stated its not xenophobic to think that JRPGs have bad dialog and that japanese people dont actually speak like that.

well yeah they dont report it and Japan is notorious for only prosecuting sure thing crimes. Thats why their conviction rate is so high

But in general, Japan just does not have much crime. I mean of course it still exists, but Ive never felt more safe than when I was there. Seriously, go there. Its pretty safe and clean.

We both know that mods don't always act on racism and anti-Asian racism is on the bottom of their priorities.
And here it is again, the hypocrisy. The whole point is that you're acting like SMAL using stereotypes against Asians to present Asians as an Other. Like seriously, the whole reason I confronted you is because you acted as if Japanese people sexually assaulted more relative to other developed countries and then after statistics showed the opposite, using the classic xenophobic argument only ever used against non-white countries that they underreport despite it being something every country is known for doing. You're being a SMAL here.

You continued to double down on that even when people talked about other examples. But again, it's not about these individual moments, it's about a pattern. It's not a surprise to me that you're someone who would doggedly insist xenophobia against Asian countries aren't a thing. Meanwhile, you're far more receptive about racism being a thing elsewhere.

ive never stated that ever but youre good at ignoring what ive actually said. Like where i said blacks werent commiting hate crimes against asians but white people were. Then you using that to state im downplaying hate crimes against asians.

Then you trying to say im against trans people because i defended certain chappelle jokes while also saying he was problematic for what he did say.

I meant aren't a thing in gaming journalism, the context of that topic. Obviously you wouldn't say that exact phrase out loud. Black people were committing hate crimes against Asians. White people were doing it more and the presentation of it being focused on black people were due to white supremacy but that doesn't change that there were blacks doing it.
Your logic is like because of the fact that whites commit more racist acts against black people that means racism against blacks by asians don't exist. You still don't see your own prejudice.
Let's just have it out then, say that there's xenophobia against Asian countries by a lot of westerners, including among Black communities. We all know there's racism against Black people among Asian communities both in Asia and white countries.

I never said blacks werent committing crime against asians. The fact was that they were taking robberies that the motivation was just a robbery and calling them hate crimes.

Were hate crimes committed against asians. Yes but chalking all crimes against asians up as hate crimes was benefiting no one.

Then you had the people who were using asian victims to be racist against blacks.

There is racism against asians from some black people the same way theres racism against blacks from asians.

The issue i had was that the media were taking crimes that were abhorrent and applying hate crimes to them when they didnt stand to paint an anti asian narrative to drive a wedge between peoples at the height of BLM.

Then in the asian topics where they were saying things like "WHERE WAS BLM TO SUPPORT ASIANS" i posted references of when BLM did go out to support asians and how there is support for asian people from asian interest groups designed to combat racism.

At no point have i downplayed racism or hate crimes against asians.
