Did you know the 3DO had a version of Policenauts?

I had one when it slashed it's price. Most anything worth a damn was later ported to PS1 later. I really only remember playing like 3-4 games on it

I got one for 20 bucks at a garage sale some years ago. Good deal.

I owned one, but like Jiek, it was later in it's life. I got one from Babbages, in a bundle with like 18 games for a good price. All of their leftover preowned games at that point were $5 to $10 so I wound up owning like 40 of them. Killing Time and Captain Quasar are games I remember liking a lot. There was a Star Wars game also, flying in it, but I liked it too.

The only thing I know about 3DO is they made the GOAT game Heroes of Might and Magic III

People keep telling me they also made a console, but I'm not sure I believe it.

Also respect to it's hardware at the time, the hard drive was enormous in scale, you could never use all the space with game saves, I think I was at like 7% with everything I had. You could save music tracks to the hard drive also, hundreds if you wanted, and create playlists with different trippy screen display options while it played. You could also run your saved playlists in some games instead of the game music as an option. It was ahead of it's time in that regard.

The 3DO had both Star Control II (improved from the PC version, at the time), and Wing Commander III on it.

Had both of these and loved them, Wing Commander 3 had Mark Hamill in it, and I played through it a bunch to get all the character options and bang both chicks.
