Love-hate relationship with this series. The stories and characters are fantastic but the writing is just so obtuse x.x

I'm a bit more than three quarters through Memories of Ice, just picking up where I left off

God dammit shut the fuck up Kruppe

I tried to do Malazan but gave up probably around the first quarter of the second book. It's just too dense and I'm too much of a pleb to appreciate it

Second book took me several attempts to, though I do feel it was worth it in the end

The man of lard deserves all the hate

My friend that loves the series keeps telling me that it's so good to reread the series, but I barely got through Gardens of the Moon before giving up on the series. I got so sick of constantly referencing the glossary at the back of the book to try and make sense of the random characters or how anything worked in the world because as good as Erikson is at creating a world, he's pretty fucking at awful at explaining it.

I made it through the main series and enjoyed it even though I was still confused by the end. But I just couldnt do the rest of the books. Now I see that there are even more.
