In that it lets me know a product exists, sure, mostly in regards to knowing that movie is out in the theares/streaming now. On the flip side, I'm more likely to avoid something out of spite if I see too many ads for it. Back to the movie idea, when the week before release I would see the same ad 2-3 times an hour for 7 days, then fuck you, I'm not spending any money on it. --- The ball is round, the game lasts 90 minutes.
