If the kid flew into a rage because he saw his little brother get hit then he deserves discipline, not jail. Hes not a monster. Hes a kid who needs to learn self control and handle his rage. I don't care what started it. That level of escalation is not acceptable. He needs to face consequences for his actions. There is no justification for throwing haymakers to the back of a 9-year-old girl's head. Then his little brother starts in on her as well. This is all learned behaviour.
