There is a particular stealth ability that feels like someone from Bethesda broke in one night and designed it while Nintendo was asleep. i.e. it's dogshit. Fortunately you can completely ignore it, outside of the doorlocks that necessitate it. It has a real shitty habit of closing you off in one direction and backtracking becomes impossible. Fusion was the same but I guess as a sequel to Fusion it makes sense. This didn't bother me personally; the whole map is accessible in the endgame and (unless I just happened to get lucky) there aren't any missables, and it's just more efficient to clean house on upgrade collection when you're at full power / ability. The worst you have to deal with are a small handful of roadblocks that require you to go around the long way (an inconvenience that's reduced once all the teleporters are linked).
