Yeah when I've been screwed, but told them fuck you instead. Still didn't get anywhere

It was a gas leak. Ended up being like a 3k bill, but the day before it happened the company had trucks out there working on it. They caused it and they denied it and I ended up having to pay it

No. Only time I've ever really asked to talk to a manager was at the theater I saw black widow at. It was because my catalytic converter got stolen and I wanted someone to know our local thieves were starting to hit their customers. I also made it a point to tell them I wasn't expecting anything from them in freebies and I understood there's only so much in their own power they can do about it. They were cool about it and said they'd start increasing their on site security sweeps. Hopefully it helped.

The only thing I'll ever complain about is an item ringing up differently from a clearly marked price, and that's usually simple enough that the cashier can handle it alone.

I've never been told no, because I don't make frivolous complaints lol

Same, but not actually saying fuck off. Just being endlessly polite in my way of saying no and drawing a hard stance on company policies that I would usually bend if they were nice. The best result is for them to get so annoyed that they would swear at me. At which point I would tell them we are obviously at an impasse, they are too emotional right now, so have a good day and just walked away.

Yeah. Zaxby's double charged me on the app for an order for pick up. I talked to the store's manager. He was "aware of the bug" but just told me to wait and it will return my money. I call a week later, same thing "just wait". 2 weeks later, same thing. I drive back over there and tell them look just give me my money and stop giving me the run around and I am not leaving until he does. He makes a joke about how I feel about sleeping on the floor of a Zaxby's and I fucking lost it. Not outwardly like a monkey but my brain just fucking BROKE. I told him I was going to review bomb his store off the fucking map and walked out.

And that's what I did man spent the next like 3 days making dozens of fake accounts on every single website that I could find where that location had reviews at. I took great care to make sure each and every account had an identity to make it look as real as possible. Jennifer had 2 sons in her photo for example so her bad review involved how her two sons tried had a tug of war match over a chicken tender and how sturdy that tender was as a rope due to it being 99% gristle. "IN THE END, NEITHER OF MY BOYS WANTED IT LOL!" ya knoshitty boomer humor like that and I did this x50. I single handedly dropped their rating out of 5 by 1 and sometimes even 2 points. I called that store every single day too. They gave me my money back by day 3. It is a good thing too, I would have done that for weeks fuck that manager.

I have never in my life ever asked to speak to a manager. Anytime my orders or something wrong happened to me I always calmly and nicely explain what happens and I almost always get my stuff corrected. If I don't get it then I just never come back to that store. Really that simple.

Wish this was more common. Like I briefly mentioned in my other post, a calm request from a customer made it much more likely for me to bend the rules and accommodate them. Best example was dealing with R-rated movies at the theatre. If you are going to be a jerk about showing ID and yelling at the cashiers, you're damn right I'm not selling you a ticket, and would actually go out of my way to watch you try and sneak into the other auditorium.

On the other hand, I once had two girls come to the front desk asking for a manager. They had IDs in hand, and explained that one was 17, the other turned 17 on monday (was a friday or saturday night), and asked if there was any way I would let them in to watch the movie. Because they approached me directly and maturely, I had no reservations about saying yes. Officially, I was in the right to refuse based on company policy, but what would be the point? No screaming, no yelling, and they hopefully had a good night at the movies.

This. I was at Best Buy and the manager outright said I could be doing identity theft that's why he wouldn't give me my stuff. Despite that I had the card, my ID, phone # everything associated with the purchase. All because I have 2 last names. Told him fuck you asshole. He had me waiting for an hour and that shit just to tell me I was an identity theft.
