I imagine the great ones are 1-3 hours long.

Omori, Yume Nikki, One Shot (though admittedly the non-RPGMaker version is better in some ways), Corpse Party, LISA, and Your Turn to Die.

There are probably some others but those come to mind as ones that ascend pretty hard beyond what people think of when they think of "RPGMaker game." There are also a lot more games akin to Yume Nikki/Corpse Party that also are somewhat better, but it's hard to really view them in the same way as they kind of are as good as they are because of those two really paving how to do what they did.

Koala RPG I made which is a SEGA driven RPG if you like sega

black souls 1 and 2, has dark souls lore/stuff but has its own story, pretty damn good, hardcore themes though

Vampires Dawn II. The sequel is on steam and has an official translation actually.

For some reason the German community made some great jrpgs. I really liked Vampires Dawn 2, and just from a technical standpoint back in 2004 (I forget) it seemed extremely impressive the guy put his own code into the game. Anyway Vampires Dawn 3 was a ghastly time, but ya had to play the second actually....can skip the first though.

I considered to the moon but I was looking for more goth horror/dark fantasy. I spent way too much time looking up rpgs and indie stuff.

Yea. I think there are some light puzzles. I may revisit the idea. This was after I got really into 13 Sentinels:Aegis Rim. And then found Steins;Gate so that got me hooked.

Lisa the Painful is great.
Also Symphony of War is a good SRPG made in RPG Maker VX ace and doesn't play anything like one.
Also also I've been eyeing the Fear & Hunger games which are pretty unique. I've played the demo of the first one and remember liking it.

Unlikely. Someone posted a game with child porn as a recommendation, so it's kind of hard to imagine anything getting moderated as far as the name of a game is concerned here.

Cosmic heroine is pretty good. Chrono trigger esqe. Also chained echoes is good not a rpgmaker game

I'm playing Cosmic Herorine and I like it a lot.

I got Cosmic Star Herione I didn't finish it felt the plot was moving too fast. I think it is a good game though. I just bounced off it. I also remember the legacy of the developer Breath of Death etc.
