I honestly used to think introverts were smarter than us big meanie extroverts and now that I have seen their pretentious facebook pages where they passive brag about being better than everyone else. I have changed my mind.

They unironically believe extroverts don't have inner dialogs where the majority of people with ADHD like me are extroverts(ans there are studies confirming it) overthink and sometimes, we need to socialize with other people so we don't get lost into the battle of the inner dialog in our brains.

Most people have too much shit going on in their lifes to care about this sort of thing so deeply. They just get on with it and do t over analyse whats going on.

When you say extroverts dont have that inner dialogue I wonder if they are talking more about the side effects of anxiety (which a lot of introverts have) which is in over analysing or second guessing every decision they make.

Because you are probably right in that they dont spend as much time worrying about things.

They can get dumbed down for-the-public forecasts from the local news or from apps that are largely automated (which I hear is a goal within the NWS, but we're not there yet, and these apps shouldn't try to be), but I prefer the more technical side of meteorology.

So yes. I do.

Yeah I was basically nerd-speaking hurricanes Ian and Nicole last year, but I try to strike a balance so that people don't have to take the time to ask questions on an exceedingly complex topic if they don't have to; although I do enjoy answering questions.

The amount of people who know that 850 mb generally = 5,000 AGL (above ground level) in meteorology is rather small, but for me, I'm basically ingrained to say that. It's a script.

Finding a balance between technical jargon and layman terminology is harder than you think. :)

I'm okay with generalizing, but I don't exactly think TC can even generalize misanthropes because misanthropy comes in varying levels: you can be a sociopathic misanthrope, you can be someone who is jaded but good-natured, you can be full on psychopathic misanthrope, you can be a normie on the outside but you have a deeper-rooted insecurity or inherent sense of discomfort with humanity as a whole, etc.

I suspected something along those lines, but it's nice to see someone who wasn't sheltered growing up point out such things.

I hate being the center of attention, though. I feel like there are certain expectations and the speed at which I'm able to process information, while exceedingly fast, also tends to be relatively aimless in those situations. So the whole thing just slowly unravels anytime I'm the center of attention.

The thing is that for many people, they don't necessarily want to be the center of attention, it is an anxiety induced need for relevancy and validation. Not all extroverts of course, but just saying how anxiety can manifest for them.

Interesting. Do you think a lot of adults value acceptance from their peers more than they say they do? This has been my experience, but it's also possible being a misanthrope is causing an air of projection on my part. I like to be open to broadening my perspectives, so I wanted to see if your experiences have been any different.

I have explained it earlier. While introverts might experiment comfort in loneliness, extroverts might overthink while alone and fighting with our own inner dialog(which according to introvert social media pages do not exist if you are extro apparently). Being with a group of 5/6 friends shut down the atrocious inner thoughts I have sometimes.

I also hate the sound of electricity when I am alone if the TV or some video games or even a fan are not open. But I think it's just me being weird for that one
