anakin didn't actually kill palpatine. Turns out palpatine survived. So he didn't bring balance to the force which means he is not the chosen one.

but someone else did. Rey was the one to eliminate palpatine and the sith once and for all. Which makes her the chosen one. It also explains why she's able to just effortlessly walk into force abilities that took the best jedi masters decades upon decades of intense meditation to even acquire. It's like she literally descended from the heavens as a Goddess incarnate.

It's also why nearly all of her actions undermine the original trilogy so much. And it kind of has to. She not only has to completely dominate every other character in her own generation. But she also had to prove how she'd absolutely destroy every beloved character in previous movies. And what better way than showing her completely tooling Darth Vader's grand son. And it ain't like she was more experienced than him. No. She taught herself the lightsaber for a week. Kylo Ren had been trained by Luke Skywalker and then Palpatine

this makes her the chosen one. The universe was genuinely embarrassed for how poorly the light side was doing so they sent over an Athena to clean it up real quick

Doesn't Sidious straight up say that he died before in TROS? Plus Anakin's goice can be heard telling Rey to bring balance again as he once did.

She should've been Anakin reincarnated like the fucking Avatar.

Palpatine did die. He was brought back by whatever the empire keeps doing to Grogu in the Mandalorian. It's basically spelled out for you in season 2.
