she had blood work done since she's ~8 weeks pregnant. They said hormone levels are low so they will do an ultrasound this afternoon. Miscarriages are way more common than we realize. It's not a good idea to share that you're pregnant until you're well into the pregnancy. Society needs to talk about miscarriages way more because if we knew how common they were and how many women experience them, they'd probably be slightly less devastating, and people could have more realistic expectations dealing with early stages of pregnancy. I alway heard you should wait past the 1st trimester (12 weeks) before you start sharing your pregnancy because of how high the risk of a miscarriage is. Bad news: She did indeed miscarry. They will be waiting 1-2 weeks for her to naturally take care of the miscarriage. Otherwise, there are pill/surgical options if that does not happen without intervention. She's in as good spirits as one could expect. They plan on continuing to try to have their second child. The twins just turned four and we've loved having twins. It was tough at times though. Double the work like changing them, feeding them, potty training them. Also double the cost and our house is feeling a little cramped already. In other ways they're easier now than our first because they can play and entertain each other. They are the best of buddies. They're fraternal twins and I've read that you can have a higher likelihood of having twins after a miscarriage because the body may release an extra egg for some reason. I'm guessing that's what happened with us given they're fraternal and we were just coming off a miscarriage. --- http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/8131/flame201010170949481638.jpg http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/5517/cateyes.gif Rams: 7-9 ...
