I liked it as a competition when there videos of it taking place in small bars and whatnot popping up, but as trying to a TV program on the level of UFC for it is dumb as shit. One of my favorite podcasters tried to pass it off as not involving any sort athleticism or skill, but that's so obviously false. In this power slap nonsense, you get penalized for flinching too much and can't dodge. I'd guess because it's between consenting parties and has virtually no chance of collateral damage. About the only comparable thing that is actually illegal is duelling, and that has the potential for collateral damage, pretty much guarantees there'll be a dead body to deal with, and can be hard to differentiate from a plain old murder because the loser can't exactly tell police that it was consensual, all of which add up to make it clearly much worse.
