After leaving the EU the UK realizes it can't hack it on it's own so it joins the Union.

There's now 55 states. England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Falklands.

They adopt the Dollar, all become US citizens and abide by US Law. Travel is now considerd crossing state lines instead of international borders. The UK military is absorded into the US army and the President is the new leader. There is a hardboarder between Northern and Republic of Ireland.

The monarchy is dissolved, GB teams no longer exist in international sports. The NHS is replaced by Medicare. America actually wins a game of rugby for once against a real team.

JK Rowling pulls an Arnold Schwarzenegger and becomes the first Governor of Scotland due to her fame.

The Brits gave me The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, and Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden, so they're more than welcome.

Pretty low

A solid chunk of the UK refuses to admit Brexit was a failure and has gone beyond MAGA levels of delusion to defend it

And even amongst "moderate" voters, the notion of rejoining the EU or a 2nd referendum is still a very unpopular minority stance.

Macron even tried to suggest creating an EU Mark 2 with blackjack and hookers just solely for the purpose of allowign the UK to rejoin and still pretend it had left to save face and the UK shot it down immediately

It might happen in a decade or so. But in the meantime I think what's more likely is years and years of deaths, ecomomic damage, lower standards of living etc, they will rejoin the Customs Union and make the same trade agreements they had in the EU just less favorable to England.

But still technically be "Out of the EU"

The whole thing is fucking embarrasing and both the Tories and Labour being too cowardly to admit the dumpster fire they are living in because they've lied so much they can't tell the truth now, is just painful to watch

Id be incredibly disappointed in the UK. Sure theyre becoming a hellhole, but they got to have some standards.

Instead of "unelected bureaucrats in Brussels", we'd complain about "unelected bureaucrats in Washington"? I can't imagine anyone in the UK thinking any part of this would be a good idea. What are the positives here?

FYI, the Falklands govern themselves like the other Crown territories so they wouldn't be part of this hypothetical scenario (unless you include all the other territories as well such as Gibraltar, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, etc)

i like the idea, but why give these guys all that political power? 5 states? Theyre tiny! They get one state, called the Anglia, with one senator and one congressman per country (Eg Scotland gets one, England gets one, etc)

since were adding states, lets make Puerto Rico one too, in order to balance the perpetual Tory/GOP senator the UK will bring us with a Democrat from Puerto Rico.

also one last thing: only current England/Scotland/wales/N. Ireland/Falklands citizens are part of the deal. The UK will try to empty Pakistan and india into the US, thats not our policy

What happens to all of their territories? I assume the Premier League continues as it is in the short term until we try to make it our own. And I wonder about countries that have the queen on their money or have the UK flag on their own flag. Maybe will switch it up.

This they rejoin the EU and it becomes the AEU.

Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, Australia, New Zeland, and Japan join the US to form the Union.
