Is Kirby giving anyone else caught for the wrong reason vibes? Or am I looking way to much into it

I will say that the post in question does seem like something town Kirby would post. I'm not feeling it.

Also I enjoyed that page 1 post Kirby, made me want to play the games again.

I do like finding my own thread and following it. So you may find it combative because I'm focusing on you. I would just call it scum hunting.

I'm not ignoring the rest of the game. I'm "absorbing it" at someone else said earlier, and focusing on my own thread. Why come to Peaf's defense here instead of letting him defend himself? Why come after me for following my own lead? Is Mafia so simple that we can only hold one conversation at a time?

Something about this seems off (and apologies for my future inactivity, today's commuting day and I'm leaving in a few minutes.)

I don't understand what this post is trying to say. The way I see it, if you're gonna put a vote down, then you need the conviction to back it up.

Han engaged with me for a bit, but when the discussion ends with a "I have nothing else to say", then there's no meaningful conclusion there. So now it's my turn to counterattack and see whether Han actually believed in his reasons or if he was just making stuff up to look towny.

Because I find it a little hypocritical for both you and Han to say I made a fluffy post just to say I had no reads, and yet neither of you have stated your own reads, except for Han's "I didn't say Sultan was scum" thing he has going on with Sbell.

In fact, what have you to say on Han, Sbell, and Sultan, Lea?

I read your response and thought it was very much a non-answer. I am not defending Peaf (I don't think he ever justified his vote on me), but I do find it strange that you've had nary a thought on everything else in the game thus far.

I respect following your own convictions instead of sheeping the general trends, but refusing to formulate an opinion about the other events in the game, even if it hasn't been 24 hours into Day 1, rubs me the wrong way.

My apology is that I don't have more of an argument than what I presented already. And I mean, I've been trying to avoid the word because it hasn't been on since Ulti broke it, but sometimes you just have a gut read of someone, and that's where I'm sitting on you currently.

Looked back one game and Sultan being this demanding about flavor is not out of character at the very least. Dont think its necessary either tho.

I also didn't think Kirby was seriously trying to distance himself from everyone else with that nofan-comment. Though I am only saying that because I find it weird that Han didnt see that as a joke himself.

Granted I dont know why Peaf took so long to say that his vote was a joke, but even if you thought he was really genuine against Ben, I dont get the specific reason.

Isquen reentered the conversation, said something to Kirby and Lea, name-dropped me, but said nothing about the votes in particular.

It was very "talk about the train without committing to any stance".

Hmm. I interpreted this more like Sultan trying to point out something obvious or funny here, since he doesn't say whether this is a bad or good thing for Red, just that it is a first. But I can see it, in that scum often ends up ignoring their own teammates and tries not to bring any attention at all to them.

As for my own statements - that Sultan and Cody are not scum together

This post. I feel that if Cody and Sultan were both scum, Sultan would have absolutely started explaining the rules of mafia to Cody in their own discord, with Mzero chipping in too. And thus Sultan would not have made the statement that Cody should read the opening rules on how to play mafia

Only reason I am hesitating to call you scum for it right away is that I think you have always said more than needed.

I will promise you to read back through the ongoing posts and give an opinion on SBell/Han/You when I reach my break at work. I am not saying this as an excuse, but I do follow the game during the day while working on my other monitor, so I am typically more in "maintenance mode" until I have to time to put more attention during breaks or lunch.

1. Ben makes a post with a read about two players being not scum together. Whether this is serious or not, no one knows because nobody pushed him on it.
2. Peaf joke votes Ben for "Taking notes" claiming that is a scum behavior.
3. I call out Peaf's vote and ask him why he didn't actually engage with what Ben said, as Ben actually made some kind of claim about the game state.
4. Peaf ignored the post and then when I continued to pressure, has tried to shrug off attention because he thinks I should be focused on the rest of the game instead.

Also Ben just clarified his thoughts on his statement above, but I didn't refresh when I hit post, so egg on my face lol.

See, I don't understand this whole "Kirby had no reads" argument. That's a misconstrued interpretation of my post where I expressed town leans on Plum, Han, and Sbell.

Yes, I stated at the end that "these aren't conclusive", and maybe that didn't need to be said, but I always err on the side of everything needing to be stated explicitly to avoid misinterpretation.

I thought it was pretty darn obvious what Ben referred to about Sultan and Cody at the time.

I wouldn't say Kirby has no reads, but I would say he commented on two things that happened and chose the two conclusions that least invited him into conflict.

I will hold you to that. With the context of work, what you're saying about focusing on one thread and absorbing the rest of the game makes more sense now.

The part about him ignoring Ben I do like as a point to raise. And I guess I can kinda read between the lines about your first point. (since you didnt spell it out in great detail) But I guess if even Peaf doesnt disagree with you on that aspect (even if he did it as a joke), I cant argue that the motive wasn't there.

I also do hope you get back on that Sbell/Han thing since I dont think that 'combat' has ended right now anyway.

But something about the way he just tacked that part on at the end as if we should just naturally assume he is voicing what a lot of people are already saying, comes across as forced.
I'd expect at least some more context or thoughts about the other 2 votes in there if you get what I mean.

That's diminutive. If there was lots of other stuff going on in the game, then I agree that calling everyone town is the path of least resistance.

But nothing else has happened so far. I'm not going to lie and say "I thought Plum looked scummy for voting right out of the gate" because that's not what I honestly think.

I'm giving you a hard time, in any case. You said you don't have much else of an argument to make and are going on gut. Fair enough; you've debated with me enough to feel that your line of thought is at least cohesive even if it's ultimately wrong.

I don't think my initial impression of your alignment was wrong. This feels like a stark contrast to the last game, where it didn't feel like you were in your town element until Day 2 or 3 (because you were scum).

i was going to accuse you of trying to push han and me back at each others throats. Good clarification.

I voted Kirby for my reasoning that his only major point was he was mad about not getting attention on a post he called a shit post himself. Han and Leas added on to my thoughts as well. Then I was going to back off then saw that he was caught but for the wrong reason atleast that it seems that way anyways.

If you think that looks bad cool but I'll totally start an isquen train if anyone would follow me
