Over and over...?
Or is that more of a dementia/alzheimer's symptom?

A stroke can hasten the effects of dementia/Alzheimer's, so I guess the answer is yes to both. I have a family history of it on my mom's side, and while my grandmother didn't start showing signs until she was in her mid 80's, my mom had a stroke at 68 and started showing signs shortly after.

I've heard of people with concussions will sometimes repeat themselves so I would not be surprised if other kinds of brain injury like strokes could cause that.

Many people just like telling the same stories.

My grandma actually started telling other early life stories in the early stages of her dementia.
