I typed up a big post in response to this, but it was a little fired up, so I'll just say that you saying this, Dumey, really offends me.

Of course I know what WIFOM means, hence why I made a direct reference to the scene in a post. I won't say it's HILARIOUS that you clearly don't know what it means (it's late, I don't blame you for missing it).

I'm not trying to present a situation as WIFOM right now - either I'm not presenting it right, you're misreading it, or likely both.

I'll leave you with this though: I don't know the details of what happened at end of day yesterday because I was busy. That's why it doesn't track. I don't know the details. I pulled the example out of my ass to make a reference in direct response to your "I don't think you know what WIFOM means".

You can't just call every defense a WIFOM. If anybody had suggested the same thing instead of me, you wouldn't be using the term.

Since your Ctes/Han Scumteam requires no Ben, then you are suggesting that I hopped off of Town Ben whom everyone seemed to want to lynch in order to vote Town you, but suggested to you that I would hop off of you if you could convince me to lynch my Scummate instead.

Asking you to consider that isn't WIFOM. It's pointing out a completely ridiculous scenario, and if you were actually trying to solve the game, you would agree that it's pretty barmy.

Like, why does a Scum Han take the juice out of a Town Ben lynch? And why does your proposed Scumteam of mine have only one person on the actual lynch that DID happen?

This anger from Han seems pretty genuine. Im inclined to think hes still town.

Scum can act in ways that are counter-productive, but you literally saw me one game ago going "do NOT suggest this thing, do NOT give Town reason to think about this thing, control the information, do NOT theorycraft stuff that puts us in worse light".

You don't have to believe me, but I am NOT good enough as Scum to completely switch gears into something like that.

I don't even think suggesting you get me to stop voting you by presenting more arguments on Ctes is counter-productive. It's just... nonsensical as Scum? At least, that's my view, and I'm going to bed with it.

Full transparency's sake, I would get mad if someone told me I didn't know what WIFOM meant as any alignment.

My deadly sin is pride, and attacking it, especially in regards to things I know, is a really easy way to get my blood boiling.

I'm more Town mad at JC voting me and Peaf bandying my name about a bit before he hopped off.

Post 456 was a little aggressive too.

I apologize for the aggressiveness, Dumey. I think we were stuck at opposing points and thus argued in a way much like people do when arguing political. Sorry for my part in it.

Han I appreciate that you're doing the same "or am I the doctor? dohoho" thing that I did yesterday if you're town I just, you know, have trust issues.

But I am very specifically considering the fact that you are aware of what the 'reward' for ctes targeting you is.

But again, I am somewhat concerned that if I've figured it out, scum will have figured it out and will do the 'correct' night actions anyways. So I have to weigh that peace of mind with being able to move on vs possibly illusory utility.

Like, you have to appreciate the challenging position I'm in if you're town. You're hoping I come to a conclusion that allows me to trust you for at least this vote, where I might die after even if I trust you. And on top of that, sorry to repeat myself, but if it's a train of thought I might be able to follow to the point of being able to trust it, scum should be able to follow it to the point they can work around it.

That's where my concern is with placing any kind of conditional trust. The answer may be something that I can't imagine right now, but that's exactly the challenge. I can't just trust that you have some ex machina that's none of the possibilities I'm considering.
