Now if the game was made with a 3D cel-shaded art style that closely mimicks the anime cutscenes in the PS1 and DS port, I would very much like that. MirageOfRuins posted... Grabs flame shield just in case Personally, silent protagonists just do not do it for me anymore and more often than not feels more like a product of the time and a necessity because of the hardware at the time period a lot of the old-school silent protags originated in. Yeah, I know, they are meant for the player to sort of self-insert as them, muh immersion and yadda yadda, but it doesn't really work when these silent protagonists already have set character traits/a personality via their reactions to the story, party members and whatnot. A good recent example is joker from persona 5....you got his silent in-game self where he just awkwardly stands around with his hands in his pocket and despite the game giving you dialogue choices to kind of make your own personality for him the game never really acknowledges you making him a righteous goody two shoes or a snarkmaster, lol. However you look at the persona 5 anime and you can tell the writers based joker off of the more jokey game persona 5 answers and he was a better character for it. Same goes for yu from persona 4....dudes anime personality/voiced version is a great character, great enough that his now talking character in persona 4 arena is based off of what the original persona 4 anime did. Basically I just want chrono to be a actual voiced character and a remake would be a good time for that. I am not asking for him to talk to the point where he tells his life story at every opportunity, but just not standing around while party members have to talk for him. It would also be a good opportunity to give all the party members a bit more to their characters than what we got. Really get into that awkward feel when frog and magus are forced to work together towards the end. Hell I would love for the day when link gets to just be a normal character like that. There is some exceptions for my like/dislike of silent protags though. Doomguy for example just works because it comes off as goofy, lol.
