Fuck, I loved curtain call. Played the demo for Final Bar Line and I want to get it. But I cant afford buying full priced games so hopefully it will gonon sale someday.

This helped me a lot and it might help some of you. The timing on the switch is apparently way off.

This game is amazing. Brings me back to how much fun I had playing the first two on 3DS, and I'm still so surprised and thrilled we ended up getting a third entry.

Also, I just want to say after ragging on them including the mobile games (mobius, RK) that I was absolutely THRILLED to see the fight song from Opera Omnia in the Dissidia section. I recently quit playing but that game was nearly six years of my life!

Sure! I think FF music can be enjoyed by everyone, including nonfans. It's high quality, timeless stuff. And who knows, you might get intrigued enough to try another entry through it.

I didn't really feel like I had issues either, but when I made the change it feels so much better!

In rhythm games I'm generally too afraid to change the calibration settings from the default, and I've not noticed anything wrong with this game (yet anyway, maybe when I play again I'll notice it)

or it could just be that I have the trigger sounds on

I've exclusively played in handheld mode on my Switch and haven't noticed any real issues.

100 percent. Final Fantasy is a series that's known for having excellent music throughout it's run. There are GREAT tracks for almost every game. FF7 gets a good amount of love on this too, it has the original PS1 game and the remake tracks. Not to mention the spin offs have tracks included too.

Do we have an idea of what the DLC is outside of Chrono series/Octopath/Nier/Legends?

Honestly, I'd like them to add some tracks into the current titles included. FF6 got shafted.

I don't think we do yet. My guess is some of the ??? marked DLC will end up being from FF16.

Trying to go through and clear out the remaining missions. So far I fully completed FF1 through FF7 (PS1.) All my characters are at least 99. 4 or 5 are at a star level 1. And Zidane is at star level 2.

Maan, should I just get the game?? Despite needing to save money, I wont starve but I need money. But Im really enjoying the demo and loved curtain call. Maybe Ill get Fuga: Melodies of Steel as its 40% off and I want to play that too. I can still try to max the demo since it carries over.

I would say to make sure your financial needs are taken care of first. With that said though, it's only 50 bucks and you don't have to get all the DLC right away or anything. There's still over 300 songs in just the base game.

I'll never understand why they made Y'shtola the de facto protagonist of XIV when you have Milfilia, Alfinaud and Thancred. You even get TWO Y'shtolas when you unlock the XIV tracks this time...

I love (hate) how there's only the original FF1 Mt Gulg and none of the more modern renditions. But thank God we have the million remixes of Battle on the Big Bridge.

Maybe it's because I stopped playing it 8 years ago, but I forgot XIV's music goes HARD

emulating it on yuzu, playing with ps5 controller. yeah theres as bit of an input lag along with general emulator delay, i failed promises to keep twice now lol

I imported it as well. I remember there were some TnT boards that never unlocked for some reason.

Did the 3DS games have multiplayer? It's a neat addition if they didn't.

You have to earn Orbs and stuff, I think it's usually through Rhythmia, but I'm fairly sure you get some from TnT boards as well. I remember feeling like it took a good bit to get characters. How much Rhythmia do you have? I'll check my system as well.

Edit: I have 41500 points, and 24 characters. Though 11-12 of them are level 99.

The TnT board can get almost addicting, just like in the main games.

I will wait for it to go on like a 50% off sale.

I'm ALMOST done with clearing every quest. I have less than 10 left to do. Not sure what's next after I do that though. Maybe try as much as I can on the level above expert.

I'm going through every single series first, and then playing the songs I initially missed in normal music selection, using the characters of whatever series I'm on at the time. My logic is all the characters will be decently leveled for when I start tackling quests and I can mix them around however I want without having to go back and get levels.

Also it's just fun.

I want the game so bad but I need to pay my bills first :(

My playthough was picking a game and at least completing all the songs for that game. If a "step" of the level had 2 or 3 song options I would beat all of them before moving on. I didn't really care about the quests or even change party members to make sure I did the easy ones like "complete with X" person in your party. Now I'm going through and trying to beat all the quests which I am almost done with.

ff14 got way too many songs and they cut off dancing mad at the best part. 4/10.

imo there aren't enough XIV songs. I'd sell my soul for Endwalker DLC :')
