Although the term "sex worker" is rather vague, I infer it to refer to:
-People you can pay to have sex with you
-Strippers you can pay to look at, but not touch
-Porn actors who get paid to have sex with each other, but not you

With a shout-out to models who sometimes get nude photos taken, although that's stretching the definition a bit. But basically anything that results in someone getting off could be considered "sex work"

They don't bother me. Drug users have ZERO respect from me. Absolutely disgusting lot and most have no redeeming qualities or ever will.

They're people, so until proven to not deserve respect, yes.

Ive more respect for a sex worker than a landlord or a mortgage broker, thats for sure

Yes, I support their choice to sell themselves and do not believe anyone should try to harm them physically. No, I would not encourage children or adults to pursue that line of work, unless they have zero talent for anything else and no marketable skills beyond having sex.

Not respecting them is a garbage take.

I respect them in the way that their job is probably very nasty and dangerous.

I respect people who work in strip clubs and the porn industry, but when it comes to prostitution it's a little different. I respect the ones that work in the legal brothels doing it the safe way where condoms are a requirement, and the women are regularly tested. However, I don't respect the ones that are in sleazy motels or alleyways spreading STDs to everyone. It's a hustle, but there's better ways you can go about it without being trashy as hell.
